CENTRAL OHIO METAL DETECTING ASSOCIATION GOLD SOVEREIGN RAFFLE RULES 1. Grand Prize in the Central Ohio Metal Detecting Association (hereinafter referred to as COMDA or Association) Gold Sovereign Raffle will be a 1979 British Gold Sovereign coin. 2. Upon the sale of at least the minimum number of tickets, the end of the raffle will be announced via e-mail to Association members and notice will be published on the COMDA website. All tickets and monies must be deposited with the COMDA Treasurer two weeks (14 days) before the drawing date and at that time the raffle will be closed to new entries and any tickets or monies received after that date will be returned to the buyer. All ticket forms will be recorded in the order in which they are received. Any checks or purchases received after 100 tickets are sold will be rejected and returned to the buyer. 3. Based upon 100 tickets being sold, each ticket has a 1-in-100 chance of winning the Grand Prize. 4. The purchase price of one raffle ticket is $5.00. Payments may be made by cash or check made out to COMDA or Suzanne Webb (Treasurer of the COMDA). If an entrant's check is dishonored by the bank, the entry certificate will be declared invalid unless and until full payment is made prior to the drawing. Any dishonored check will be considered an invalid entry and the entrant will be notified. Payments are not tax-deductible contributions. All ticket purchases are final and non-refundable. 5. The COMDA Gold Sovereign Raffle will run from April 5, 2010 and end no later thanDecember 31, 2010. 6. The COMDA Gold Sovereign Raffle drawing will be held at the next regular Association meeting after the minimum number of tickets have been sold and entries have been closed. The purchaser(s) of the winning ticket need not be present to win. 7. More than one name may be stated on the certificate registration form. The winner(s) must verify their identity through presentation of an official government ID. Delivery of the prize will be made solely to the entrant. It is the sole responsibility of the entrants in a multiple party entry to allocate the prize among themselves. 8. Purchasers must be 18 years of age or older. 9. Names of the winner(s) will be available to the media and all raffle participants via COMDA website (www.ohiodetecting.com) for a minimum of 60 days after the end of the raffle. 10. Winner will be notified by telephone or US mail and the Grand Prize may be picked up either at a regular meeting of COMDA or will be mailed via Registered US Mail with Return Receipt. Proof of delivery shall be a receipt signed by the winner or USPS Return Receipt if the Grand Prize is mailed. 11. Winners will assume and be responsible for any and all local, state and federal taxes, including without limitation all applicable sales, use, luxury, income and special taxes. 12. If a minimum of 80 (eighty) raffle tickets are not sold by October 31, 2010 COMDA at its option, may cancel the Raffle and return the full purchase price of the tickets to each participant. 13. The decision of the Central Ohio Metal Detecting Association shall be final on all matters concerning the drawing.
